Discover The Gobbins Cliff Path in Islandmagee

The Gobbins Cliff Path is no ordinary coastal walk. Carved into the rugged cliffs of Islandmagee, this remarkable visitor attraction takes walkers across bridges, around dramatic rock faces and past caves while the waters of the North Channel stretch out below.

Originally conceived by engineer Berkeley Deane Wise, the route combines spectacular coastal scenery with an extraordinary piece of engineering heritage. On clear days, views can extend across the North Channel towards Scotland, while the surrounding coastline is also rich in birdlife and marine wildlife.

The experience is approximately 3 miles / 5 kilometres long and includes narrow sections, uneven steps and substantial climbs and descents, making it a rewarding adventure for those ready to explore this remarkable section of the County Antrim coast.

Start Your Gobbins Adventure with Breakfast

Why not arrive with enough time to enjoy breakfast at The Greedy Gannet before setting off?

From a hearty Ulster Fry to porridge topped with fresh fruit, freshly baked croissants and morning coffee, we have plenty to prepare you for the adventure ahead.
